A self-taught chef, Dalad Kambhu was born in Austin, Texas, and grew up in Bangkok in a gourmet family. After moving to New York from Thailand, she began modeling and working in local restaurants.
In 2019, she was awarded her first Michelin star, making her one of only ten female chefs in Germany to share the honor.

Dalad Kambhu has developed a new style of Thai cuisine in Berlin. She is influencing the evolution of gourmet cuisine with her restaurant Kin Dee - a word that means “to eat well” in Thai - by combining complex flavors with fresh local produce.
