During winter 2019, WE ARE ONA launched a new pop-up in The Rex, located within the Swiss village of Zermatt. The venue offered a spectacular view over the Valais thanks to a glass wall, providing an immersive experience into the heart of the mountain.
The dining room was creatively redesigned with handpicked materials from the surrounding nature, in order to merge landscapes and achieve a minimalist atmosphere.

Chefs Thomas Haugstvedt from Norway and Yann Mantelli from Geneva proposed a menu with Scandinavian accents, cooking outdoors in a snow fire pit, and sublimating locally sourced products from Le Valais by creating new dishes daily to respect each ingredient’s natural life cycle.
